Overview

Drilling drawworks is the core component of the drilling rig, which has the function of running drilling tools, casing, controlling bit weight, etc. And meanwhile, it also can be used as the middle transmission mechanism of the rotary table, and transfer power for the rotary table. The wire-rope drilling line winds on the drawworks drum and extends to the crown block and traveling blocks, allowing the drill string to be moved up and down as the drum turns. The segment of the drilling line from the drawworks to the crown block is called the "fastline". The drilling line enters the sheaves of the crown block and it makes several passes between the crown block and traveling block pulleys. The drilling line that exits the last sheave is called the "deadline".

It is featured by compact structure, simple transmission, big transferred power, effective performance, convenient installation and adjustment, easy maintenance and safe and reliable operation. 

The drilling drawworks can be divided into two kinds: single drum drawworks and double drum drawworks. The single drum drawworks consists of frame & shield, drum assembly, brake system, auxiliary brake, etc. And the double drum drawworks consists of main drum assembly, sand drum assembly, frame & shield, main drum brake system, sand drum brake system, etc.
